Job summary

Branex Group in Michigan is seeking a Calibration Engineer for a long-term, on-site contract to conduct bench and vehicle evaluations and software calibration of powertrain and thermal systems such as transmission, inverter, battery and cabin controls. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3+ years of calibration experience, and proficiency with INCA or CANape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, automotive engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of vehicle or powertrain calibration experience.
• Experience with INCA, CANape or similar calibration tools.
• Strong understanding of powertrain systems and vehicle control modules.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Bench and Vehicle Evaluations to assess system performance and identify calibration opportunities.
• Perform Software Calibration of Powertrain and Thermal Systems, including Transmisison Systems, Electrical Motor Inverters, Batteries, Energy Management, Thermal Management Systems, and Cabin Controls.
• Support various aspects of Vehicle and Powertrain Controller Software Calibration Development.
• Plan calibration activities and vehicle evaluations to ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
• Set up and maintain calibration tools and equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure calibration processes align with project requirements and technical standards.
• Document calibration procedures, results, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Manage calibration projects within predefined budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
