Job description

Curren RV is now Curern Powersports. We are growing with the addition of a new location in Wellsboro, PA, expected to open late May or early June 2024. We are currently accepting applications for Wellsboro positions and will begin hiring in the near future. New hires will work temporarily at the Pine City, NY location to learn our products and processes before opening the Wellsboro store. We carry a variety of products including ATVs, SXSs, Motorcycles, Compact Tractors, Utility Trailers, Dump Trailers, Equipment Trailers, Cargo Trailers, and Car Trailers.

We have an opening for a Powersports Parts & Service Advisor to support our customers. The right candidate has excellent customer service and phone skills and knowledge of all components used in ATVs and Side-by-Sides. Candidates must have reliable transportation. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. You will assist local customers in-store and support customers nationwide via phone, live chat, and email.

Pay is hourly and based on experience.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Provide customer assistance by phone, email, live chat, and over the counter
  2. Utilize computers to search diagrams and manuals for the correct part
  3. Assist customers with placing orders
  4. Create Repair Orders and serve as the liaison between the customer and service department
  5. Manage the service department schedule and ensure technicians have what they need to do the job
  6. Assist customers with order issues such as returns, shipping damage, incorrect shipments
  7. Maintain positive relationships with customers through friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff
  8. Stock shelves, assist walk-in customers, and operate the cash register (knowledge of Compact Tractor or Utility Trailer parts helpful)
  9. Keep the warehouse and parts department clean and organized; ensure inventory is fronted and presentable
  10. Prepare and process purchase orders
  11. Assist in maintaining inventory, pricing, cost, bin locations, etc.; match vendor invoices with packing slips
  12. Conduct cyclical inventories
  13. Assist in maintaining website product information (photograph parts, upload information, edit descriptions)
  14. Help service techs find needed parts and charge to the repair order

Essential Job Skills:

  1. Customer Service or Retail Experience
  2. Knowledge of ATVs, SXSs, UTVs is required. Knowledge of Trailers or Compact Tractors is a plus!
  3. Good understanding of engine and powersports parts
  4. Personable, good listener, detail-oriented
  5. Good sales skills
  6. Problem solver
  7. Good telephone manner and customer service skills
  8. Self-motivated and able to work independently
  9. Ability to work as part of a team
  10. Takes direction well, coachable
  11. Ability to read service manuals, schematics, diagrams
  12. Intermediate computer skills
  13. Able to learn and recognize parts and identify needed replacements
  14. Able to work Saturdays
  15. Prolonged standing, stooping, crawling, and bending
  16. May lift up to 50 lbs; heavier objects with team or assistive devices
