Job summary

World Wide Technology (WWT) is recruiting a Power Platform Developer for our Government Services team in Washington, DC. The role focuses on modernizing DoS apps by evaluating .NET/SharePoint components and reimagining them with Power Platform.

You will design end-to-end Power Apps and Power Automate workflows, mentor users, and ensure scalable, secure implementations. Active Secret clearance is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT solution development, including 2+ years focused on Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Proven experience modernizing legacy applications and integrating APIs or enterprise data sources.
• Deep knowledge of Power Fx, Dataverse schema design, and solution architecture.
• Strong mentoring and communication skills—comfortable coaching users through app maintenance.
• Must have active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assess & Strategize: Analyze legacy apps to determine modernization paths using Power Platform.
• Design & Develop: Create end-to-end Power Apps and Power Automate workflows leveraging Dataverse, M365, and external data sources.
• Prototype with Purpose: Build quick proofs of concept demonstrating low-code innovations.
• Enable & Empower: Support business users and citizen developers to extend, maintain, and optimize their apps.
• Document & Educate: Produce documentation and deliver hands-on training to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Champion Best Practices: Ensure builds follow scalable architecture, UX/UI design, data governance, and security.

This is a full-time direct hire position and you must currently have an active Secret Security Clearance or above. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship, 1099 status, or work with C2C for this role.

US Citizenship and a minimum of a currently active Secret or above is REQUIRED for this role. Eligibility to obtain a Top-Secret clearance is also required.

What will you be doing?

World Wide Technology, LLC has an opportunity available for an PowerPlatform Developer to support our Government Services team to help modernize mission‑critical applications at theU.S. Department of State. You’ll evaluate existing .NET and SharePoint apps, reimagine them through Power Platform, and guide users toward intuitive, future‑ready solutions that empower the mission.

Responsibilities:

• Assess & Strategize: Analyze legacy apps (primarily .NET and SharePoint) to determine modernization paths—refactor, rebuild, or replace using Power Platform.
• Design & Develop: Create end‑to‑end Power Apps and Power Automate workflows leveraging Dataverse, M365, and external data sources.
• Prototype with Purpose: Build quick, functional proofs of concept that demonstrate the “art of the possible” with low‑code innovation.
• Enable & Empower: Support business users and citizen developers to extend, maintain, and optimize their apps.
• Document & Educate: Produce clear, concise documentation and deliver hands‑on training to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Champion Best Practices: Lead by example—ensure your builds follow scalable architecture, strong UX/UI design, data governance, and security compliance.

  • Scrum Alliance: Certified Scrum Developer

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $110,000.00 to $130,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
