Indiana University Health is seeking a dedicated Powerhouse Technician for the central utility plant. This full-time, third-shift role maintains, repairs, and documents electro/mechanical systems to ensure reliable utility services across the facility.
The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, knowledge of stationary engines and electrical/mechanical equipment, and at least two years of relevant experience. Certification is preferred and OSHA/Joint Commission codes must be understood.
Details: This position is full-time, third shift. This position will primarily be focused for our Central Utility Plant.
Operates, repairs, documents and performs preventive maintenance needs of the powerhouse electro/mechanical systems within the facility. Operates stationary engines and mechanical equipment, which may include steam boilers, generators, steam turbines, air conditioners, distillers, water softeners and other auxiliary equipment to provide utility services. Observes meters and gauges to determine operating conditions of equipment and to regulate flow of water, fuel, steam pressure and oxygen in accordance with needs and safety standards. Performs other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED required.
