Job summary

Trident Seafoods seeks an experienced Powerhouse Operator to oversee and maintain power generating equipment at our Alaska facility. You will monitor, adjust, and maintain boilers, generators, and auxiliary systems to ensure safe, reliable production.

The role requires technical certification or equivalent training, with a minimum of two years’ experience operating powerhouse systems. Candidates must be able to work on-site in Alaska and respond to outages as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating powerhouse systems and controls.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operation of power plant equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems.
• Controls or maintains auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, fans, compressors, condensers, etc., to supply water, fuel, lubricants, air, or power.
• Regulates equipment operations and conditions, such as water levels, based on instrument data or monitors.
• Starts or stops generators and other power plant equipment when necessary.
• Records and compiles operational data through forms, logs, or reports.
