Job summary

The Guitar Center Company in Brownsburg, IN is seeking a warehouse associate to transport product using powered equipment and coordinate storage and shipment. You will move material between departments and ensure proper allocation for storage or shipping.

Responsibilities include operating powered equipment, verifying pallet accuracy, handling work orders from the PKMS system, and maintaining safety and organization in the Reserve area.

Qualifications

• Must be Guitar Center certified to operate all power equipment or able to satisfy certification process if selected.
• Must be able to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Must have aptitude to work with PkMS system and properly identify, retrieve, move, and secure product for storage or shipment.
• Must possess a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and efficiency when processing orders for storage or shipment.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work independently.
• Must be flexible to work in other production areas and address changing priorities.
• Must have strong communication skills. Able to effectively communicate detailed information to other drivers and processors in all departments.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude and support for company goals.

Responsibilities

• Store or retrieve product using powered equipment.
• Check accuracy of pallets moved.
• Time will be split between operating powered lift equipment and working consolidation, depending on workload.
• Receive and execute work orders and material movement instruction from PkMS system.
• Retrieve product from proper location for shipment.
• Allocate product for storage in proper Reserve location.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in the department.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by area supervisor.
