Job summary

Jobvite, Inc. is seeking a Full-time General Warehouse Worker to operate forklifts and RF scanners in a climate-controlled distribution center.

Responsibilities include handling merchandise, unloading shipments, stocking pallets, and ensuring inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Eligible candidates will have at least one year of powered truck experience, pass safety certification, and work Monday–Friday with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of powered industrial truck operation in a warehouse/manufacturing setting.
  • Must pass ReaderLink Powered Industrial Truck Safety & Certification for a 3-year license.
  • Basic computer skills with WMS and RF scanning experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operate powered equipment safely to move, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and report issues.
  • Unload inbound shipments and prepare products for picking/shipping.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and follow safety protocols.

Job description

Full-time General Warehouse Worker - $18.00/ HR
Must be able to work Monday thru Friday 7:00am-3:45pm with occasional mandatory Overtime 6:00am-4:45pm

Summary: The Powered Industrial Truck Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned electric powered material handling equipment including but not limited to: Sit Down Forklift, Reach Truck, Order Picker, Dock Stocker, Pallet Stacker, and Pallet Jack to support all facets of a high-volume distribution center.

The Powered Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise. The Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle.

Essential Functions: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:

  • Regular, reliable attendance is required as work cannot be performed remotely.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and immediately report mechanical issues to maintenance.
  • Maintain the equipment battery by checking water levels and connecting to charging station.
  • Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to storage locations.
    Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
  • Pull and prepare product for picking and shipping ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
  • Move levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.
  • Load or unload products onto and off pallets, skids or lifting devices.
  • Move materials from storage of work sites to designated area.
  • Operate RF scanner 90% of the time.
  • Follow safety rules to maintain personal safety and the safety of others, including maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Operate equipment in a manner that is compliant with OSHA Standards.
  • Stock new boxes by box size on the pullers side of the line.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Other duties may be assigned, directed, or requested.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of experience in the safe and competent operation of powered industrial truck(s) in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to pass the ReaderLink Powered Industrial Truck Safety & Certification training course to obtain a license valid for three years.
  • Basic computer skills with WMS, RF and scanning experience.

Physical Requirements: The requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee:

  • Must be able to hear operating equipment safety beeps and/or honking of operating equipment.
  • Must be able to stand up to 10 hours in a day.
  • Must be able to walk up to 10 hours.
  • Must have no fear of heights.
  • Will occasionally climb.
  • Will frequently bend, stoop, reach up and out, crouch, kneel and push/pull from 26 to 50 pounds.
  • Will frequently carry up to 25 – 50 pounds.
  • Will occasionally have repetitive foot movement.
  • Will frequently have repetitive hand/arm movements for simple reaching, simple and firm grasping and/or fine hand manipulation.
  • Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects; and reaches with arms.
  • Employee must be able to wear protective equipment occasionally.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to calculate basic math (subtraction, multiplication, and addition)

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
