Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate heavy machinery to bead, flare, flange, burr, upset, form, and expand tube and duct parts per specs.
• Conduct hydrostatic and CO2 leak tests on tube and duct fittings and assemblies.
• Hand‑form, straighten, finish, and correct machine‑formed parts amid heat or machining distortions.
• Carry out machining tasks including blanking, forming, cutting, trimming, drilling and finishing like buffing and deburring.
• Prepare parts by stripping, degreasing, and etching in process tanks; select dies and gauges.
• Inspect parts with fixtures and precision instruments to verify accuracy against specs.
• Manage receipt, storage, coordination, and movement of materials and tools using electronic tracking; operate elevating equipment as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe workspace; report damaged equipment; set up safety guards and equipment.
• Perform limited assembly/subassembly tasks and rework parts to meet requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of heavy‑duty power machines, including power saws and hand routers, to bead, flare, flange, burr, upset, form, and expand tube and duct parts according to specifications.
• Conduct hydrostatic and carbon dioxide chemical leak tests on tube and duct fittings and assemblies, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Skillfully hand‑form, straighten, finish, and correct machine‑formed parts that may be distorted from heat treatment or machining processes, while working with offsets, compound curvatures, and varying angles.
• Perform a range of machining operations, including blanking, forming, cutting, trimming, and drilling, while carrying out finishing operations such as buffing, curing, and deburring.
• Prepare parts and materials by stripping, degreasing, and etching through immersion in designated process tanks, and select appropriate dies and gauges for operations.
• Inspect parts for usability and compliance with specifications, using checking fixtures and precision measuring instruments to verify accuracy.
• Manage the receipt, storage, coordination, preparation, and movement of materials and tools within your designated work area, utilizing electronic tracking systems and operating powered elevating equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by cleaning tools, reporting damaged equipment, and setting up safety guards and equipment.
• Perform limited assembly and subassembly tasks as required, and execute rework and reforming of parts while ensuring all work meets established requirements.
