Job summary

BranCore Technologies in Richmond, VA is seeking a PowerBuilder/.NET developer to serve as backup support for a banking application. The role involves translating requirements into database and program solutions, with on-site work three days per week (Tue, Wed, Thurs) and a 12-month contract.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex system administration, maintenance and support for production systems.
• Develops and maintains technical documentation.
• Responds to system alerts and user events; makes recommendations; and documents findings.
• Designs, develops, modifies, testing, debugging, and implementing programs and systems.
• Develops and maintains standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
• Performs related work as required.

Job description

Contract Length: 12 months with the possibility of extending based on project need.

Candidate residing in Richmond, VA area is required.

Contractor will be expected to be on site 3 days of the week T, W, Thurs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

ThisPowerbuilder/.Net devloperposition will serve as backup support on the Banking application. The individual in this position will assist with translating formal requirements documentation into database and program solutions.

Ideal candidates will be able to work independently and as a team. The ability to adapt to change and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers is essential. Comply with all system development policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines, including coding standards and reviews. Fully document work performed and provide technology turnover on all work performed to other client staff.

The individual will be primarily supporting the FIIS application which is written in PowerBuilder. They also will provide to support to other applications that are written in .Net.
