DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a PowerBuilder/.Net Developer for a long-term contract opportunity in Richmond, VA. The role acts as backup support on the Banking application, translating requirements into database and program solutions. The position is hybrid, with three days onsite per week.

The ideal candidate will work independently and with a team, adapt to change, and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers while following coding standards and policies.

Qualifications

• 4 years of PowerBuilder/Infomaker experience.
• 5 years website maintenance: Asp.net, MVC, Web Forms, Blazor.
• 5 years Visual Studio experience.
• 1 year WEB API maintenance: C#, EF, LINQ.
• 5 years Oracle/ SQL Server proficiency.
• 5 years experience with MS Visio, SharePoint and Office apps.
• 5 years proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• 5 years excellent verbal and written communication.
• 5 years ability to work independently and in a team.
• 5 years highly motivated and self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex system administration, maintenance and support for production systems.
• Develops and maintains technical documentation.
• Supports FIIS application written in PowerBuilder and other .Net apps.
• Designs, develops, modifies, tests, debugs and implements programs and systems.
• Maintains standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
• Responds to system alerts and user events, documents findings and recommendations.
• Collaborates with team to ensure coding standards are met.

DataStaff, Inc is in need of a PowerBuilder/.Net Developer for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients located in Richmond, VA

*The position is hybrid; 3 days per week are onsite

Job Description:

This PowerBuilder/.Net Developer position will serve as backup support on the Banking application. The individual in this position will assist with translating formal requirements documentation into database and program solutions.

Ideal candidates will be able to work independently and as a team. The ability to adapt to change and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers is essential. Comply with all system development policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines, including coding standards and reviews.

Responsibilities:

• Performs complex system administration, maintenance and support for production systems.
• Develops and maintains technical documentation.
• Primarily supports the FIIS application, which is written in PowerBuilder.
• Provides support to other applications that are written in .Net.
• Performing system administration, maintenance, and support
• Responding to system alerts and user events; making recommendations; and documenting findings
• Designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, and implementing programs and systems
• Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and technical documentation
