Role Overview:

As a Power BI Engineer at Lumenalta, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. You will collaborate closely with data analysts, business stakeholders, and other IT professionals to ensure data accuracy, optimize performance, and deliver insightful dashboards and reports that support decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development: Develop interactive and visually compelling Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations based on business requirements.
  • Data Modeling: Create and optimize data models, DAX calculations, and queries to ensure efficient and reliable reporting.
  • ETL Processes: Design and manage ETL processes to transform data from various sources into Power BI, ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize report performance through proper data model design, query optimization, and report configuration.
  • Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements, gather feedback, and iteratively enhance reports and dashboards.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, cloud services, and third-party APIs, ensuring seamless data connectivity.
  • Documentation & Training: Create documentation for data models, processes, and reports. Conduct training sessions to empower users to leverage Power BI effectively.
  • Troubleshooting: Address any issues related to data accuracy, visualizations, and report performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing reports/dashboards using Power BI.
  • Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling in Power BI.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of integrating Power BI with other platforms such as Azure, SharePoint, or Dynamics 365 is a plus.
  • Ability to transform business requirements into technical specifications and intuitive visualizations.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Factory or similar ETL tools.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Salary range: $75,000 - $140,000 annually, with final compensation determined by your qualifications, expertise, experience, and the role's scope.

This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
