Note: Candidates MUST currently reside in Texas and be willing to relocate to the Austin area. Public sector experience is REQUIRED, specifically in Health and Human Services.

Job Description:

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a PowerApps Developer to design, develop, and maintain applications using Microsoft PowerApps and SharePoint. The ideal candidate will support business process improvements by delivering efficient, accessible, and user-friendly solutions.

Specialty Areas:

  • PowerApps Development – Designing, developing, and maintaining applications within Microsoft PowerApps.
  • Workflow Automation – Integrating Power Automate, SharePoint, and Active Directory for workflow automation.
  • Project & Portfolio Management – Managing multiple applications including JIRA, PowerApps, and SharePoint.
  • Business Process Improvement – Identifying gaps, defining improvements, and automating workflows.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration – Engaging with business analysts, IT teams, and leadership for solution delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and test PowerApps solutions.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation and user guides.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate solutions with SharePoint, Power Automate, and Active Directory.
  • Train PMO staff for long-term maintenance of solutions.
  • Manage multiple applications related to project and portfolio management.
  • Perform project management-related financial analysis and training.
