Job summary

U.S. Bank’s Power & Utilities Division seeks an Analyst/Associate to join Relationship Management, supporting IPP clients across renewables, gas-fired generation, and transmission assets in a hybrid, multi-location role (New York, Charlotte, or Denver).

The role, open to candidates with 2+ years in banking or related finance, offers a path to growth with support from RMs and product partners and requires licensing FINRA as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• Two to three years of previous banking or related finance experience, preferably within the U.S. unregulated power or project finance segments

Responsibilities

• Support Relationship Managers in all facets of the management and growth of U.S. Bank’s Independent Power Producer portfolio
• Prepare marketing materials for client meetings and prospect acquisition, coordinating with product areas and RMs
• Monitor borrower and sector developments, including rating actions, regulatory changes, earnings releases, capital and liquidity trends, M&A activity, and market developments
• Maintain internal reports including deal tracking, pipeline reports, Salesforce reports, etc.
• Work with Power & Utilities Portfolio Management team and product partners to track client and portfolio activity using Salesforce and internal systems
• Execute pricing models and compile information for the credit approval process
• Collaborate with portfolio managers to provide day-to-day account management support and ensure KYC requirements are complete
• Conduct due diligence and financial analysis to determine long-term financing solutions and cross-sale opportunities
• Contribute to special projects analyzing industry trends and challenges
