Job summary

WEG Transformers USA (WTU) seeks a Quality Test Technician to support final performance testing on power transformers and to perform ANSI-standard electrical tests to determine pass/fail for each unit.

The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and data entry into Test Bay Applications or Excel, with BOM interpretation and coordination with production. Availability for overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and statistics.
• Ability to communicate with employees at varying levels.
• Able to work within WEG Ethics & Values.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and work at heights up to 16 feet.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical tests per ANSI standards to establish pass/fail for transformers.
• Analyze test data and identify root cause of failures.
• Implement corrective/preventive actions based on findings.
• Read BOMs and interpret information for testing and customer requirements.
• Move transformers using crane and air pallet; maintain test equipment.
