Jobot is stepping onto a top-tier merchant energy trading desk where you will drive real P&L on physical and financial power markets with strong base pay, a discretionary performance bonus, and autonomy on a lean, high-caliber team.

Responsibilities

• Execute physical and financial power trades across regional ISO/RTO markets
• Develop and manage trading strategies to capture value in day-ahead, real-time, and forward power markets
• Monitor market fundamentals to inform trading decisions
• Manage position risk and P&L within defined risk limits
• Collaborate with scheduling, risk management, and origination teams on deal execution
• Maintain relationships with counterparties, ISOs, and market participants
• Ensure accurate trade capture, confirmation, and settlement

Job Details

• Execute physical and financial power trades across regional ISO/RTO markets


• Develop and manage trading strategies to capture value across day-ahead, real-time, and forward power markets


• Monitor market fundamentals (weather, load, generation, transmission constraints) to inform trading decisions


• Manage position risk and P&L within defined risk limits and mandates


• Collaborate with scheduling, risk management, and origination teams on deal structuring and execution


• Maintain and build relationships with counterparties, ISOs, and market participants


• Ensure accurate and timely trade capture, confirmation, and settlement processes


• Stay current on regulatory developments (FERC, NERC, ISO tariffs) affecting power markets
