Job summary

Versant Power seeks a Technician II to manage the Cascade Data Base and related software within the Veazie, ME team. The role supports substation data and inventory, providing technical help to supervisors and handling equipment records.

Ideal candidates will have a two-year electrical/computer degree, LAN/substation experience, and the ability to work with minimal supervision, including background checks per NERC standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year degree in electrical or computer discipline.
• Experience with LAN environment and substation equipment preferred.
• Position requires initiative and decision making with minimal supervision.
• Identity verification and seven-year background check per NERC standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Cascade Data Base software package.
• Assists with development and implementation of software programs.
• Becomes familiar with Electrical Department LAN and related software.
• Provides technical support to supervisors for LAN and software packages.
• Acts as primary backup on SCADA Master Software and assists with software maintenance.
• Manages Electrical Department stock system and equipment records.
• Compiles and interprets equipment test data and monthly substation readings.
• Reviews cost estimates, time cards, and requisitions for compliance.
