Job summary

City Electric Supply is seeking a Gear Specialist to analyze customer one-line diagrams, prepare material cost estimates, and perform BOM take-offs. You will work as the SME for switchgear and power distribution, collaborating with branches and customer service to drive accurate quotes and successful outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in electrical switchgear or power systems, experience reading diagrams, and familiarity with IMS quoting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in electrical switchgear or power systems applications.
• Experience reading and interpreting one-line diagrams.
• Experience performing material take-offs from electrical drawings.
• Siemens switchgear knowledge preferred; other manufacturers (Eaton, Square D, ABB, GE) acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for switchgear and power distribution; analyze customer diagrams and specify gear.
• Prepare cost estimates of material and quote takeoffs.
• Qualify BoM requests and perform take-offs from drawings.
• Collaborate with CES Online branches and customer service; support project work.
