Electric Power Systems in the United States is seeking a Power Systems Studies Engineer I to support analysis, evaluation, and design of electrical power systems for diverse facilities. You'll work under senior engineers on power system studies, calculations, data collection, and documentation to deliver safe, reliable solutions.

The role involves learning protection and electrical system performance while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years electrical engineering experience; internship/co-op in power systems a plus.
• FE exam or EIT certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Assist in electrical power system studies including short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash for low-voltage systems.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses (cable ampacity, voltage drop, equipment evaluation, protective device sizing).
• Support settings development for low-voltage circuit breakers and simple overcurrent relays under senior guidance.
• Review drawings, one-line diagrams, vendor submittals, and specs for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with field investigations, data collection, and point-to-point verification.
• Research and apply applicable codes, standards, regulations, and client specifications.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and field personnel to support execution.
• Participate in safety meetings and company safety initiatives.
