GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Power Systems Services Specialist to join our Software Center of Excellence. You will design and deliver advanced power system applications (DMS, DTS, EMS) that enhance grid reliability for utilities and ISOs, working across teams to solve complex engineering problems.

As a Lead Power Systems Services Specialist, you will serve as a key member of our Software Center of Excellence, designing and delivering advanced applications that power the world’s Electric Utilities and ISOs. From Distribution Management Systems (DMS) to Dispatcher Training Simulators (DTS), your work will directly enhance grid reliability and operational efficiency. We are looking for a technical visionary who thrives on solving complex engineering problems, collaborating across teams, and delivering high-quality, mission-critical software that keeps the lights on.
Act as a member in Software Center of Excellence, representing the face of high-quality design and development practices. Implement new functionalities in power system application software which includes DMS (Distribution Management System), DTS (Dispatcher Training Simulator) and Modeling (EMS/DTS/Oil and Gas and Distribution) applications.
Provide maintenance of power systems application functionality; including code fixes, documentation, and user interfaces.
Collaborate with system/project engineers, frontend developers and Distribution Management System (DMS) application developers to implement solutions that are aligned with product direction.
Consults with other technical leads to ensure that project-related system design guidelines are being followed. Responsible for writing DMS Functional Software Designs.
Provides input to technical lead on schedules and cost estimates.
Interfaces with customers on general and specific issues within area of functional expertise.
Provides marketing support for proposals and demonstrations to potential customers.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Power Systems or a STEM major with at least 5 years of development or project delivery experience, OR
Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a STEM major with at least 3 years of development or project delivery experience.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,000.00 and $156,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
