Job summary

A leading electrical engineering firm in Detroit is seeking an experienced Electrical Protection & Controls Engineer to support the design and implementation of systems for industrial facilities. The role emphasizes reviewing interconnection requirements, developing protection philosophies, and coordinating with engineers. The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering and 2-4 years of experience in power distribution and control engineering. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 2 – 4 years of experience in electrical power distribution, protection, and control engineering.
• Experience with industrial power & P&C systems and utility interconnections preferred.
• Fundamentals of Engineering and/or working towards P.E.

Responsibilities

• Review interconnection requirements and develop protection/control philosophies.
• Create and review protection schemes for substations and other components.
• Support power system evaluations and relay coordination.
