Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing process or utility systems from PFD through P&ID, specification, procurement and commissioning.
• Fluent in heat and mass balances, fluid flow, heat transfer, and thermodynamics; comfortable with process simulation tools.
• HAZOPs experience and strong focus on process safety; ability to drive actions to closure.
• Experience managing vendors and packaged equipment; ensures items meet spec and schedule.
• Clear, structured documentation capable of guiding build and operation.

Responsibilities

• Translate turbine and site requirements into functional requirements for balance‑of‑plant systems.
• Size and select equipment from first principles; perform energy and mass balance calculations.
• Define interfaces between turbine package and plant across process, mechanical, electrical, and controls.
• Own process design basis, PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, line lists, datasheets.
• Develop operating philosophies, control narratives, startup/shutdown sequences, and documentation control.
• Lead hazard identification and safety reviews (HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA) and drive corrective actions.
• Develop supplier base, run RFQs, evaluate bids, and manage vendor drawings and FATs.
• Develop commissioning plans, support pre‑commissioning and first‑fire testing, and enable field troubleshooting.
