Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) is seeking a Power Systems Engineer II to support Operators and neighboring grid partners in coordinating congestion and transmission for safe, efficient real-time operations across regional boundaries.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 2+ years of related experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and familiarity with power systems modeling tools such as PSS/e, TARA, and MUST.
As our Power Systems Engineer II, you will help MISO’s Operators and neighboring grid partners perform accurate, reliable congestion and transmission coordination so they can ensure safe, efficient, and predictable real‑time system operations across regional boundaries.

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $84,000.00 - $109,000.00 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.
Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met. At MISO we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 401k, vacation, sick and safe time, available on your first day of employment.
