Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. seeks an Engineering Associate to ensure the safe, reliable, and economical 24/7 operation of generation, transmission, and distribution systems, including power plants, lines, substations, and control centers.

The role encompasses design, construction, maintenance, and operation across gas systems and energy delivery networks. You will monitor energy balance, respond to disturbances, and contribute to improvements with a focus on practical engineering solutions while collaborating

Qualifications

Approval by Business Unit Executive Leadership for the position.
Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor.
Ability to handle complex assignments with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a team environment with related areas.
Excellent problem solving and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel occasionally for off-site work and inspections.

Responsibilities

Attends seminars, continuing education opportunities for professional development
Focuses on operational/tactical aspects of the work
Recommends improvements to processes and procedures
Handles work content that is increasingly complex
Applies engineering skills that include evaluation and ingenuity
Makes independent decisions and recommendations that affect the section, department and/or division
Decisions have identifiable but relatively moderate impact on costs, timeline, safety and reliability
May provide input to area budget
Applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures
Performs other project and process improvement initiatives as assigned
