Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking Test Assistants to join our Electrical Power Services team in Henderson, NV. The role supports inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation of electrical power distribution equipment in commercial, industrial, and utility settings.

You will work under senior technicians, engineers, or project leads, with NETA Level I trainee knowledge encouraged. The position entails assisting with pre- and post-test activities, data collection, and adhering to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of related electrical, field service, or industrial maintenance experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical theory, AC/DC circuits, and power distribution.
• Ability to read basic electrical drawings and follow instructions.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical power systems.
• Set up and operate electrical test equipment under supervision.
• Perform simple measurements and tests under direct supervision.
• Collect data and prepare field documentation for reports.
• Follow safety policies, lockout/tagout, and energized-work controls.
• Read and interpret basic drawings and schematics.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe, organized condition.
