Job summary

Catalyst Recruiting, Inc is seeking an electrical reliability/maintenance specialist for a chemical plant near Beaumont, TX. This role focuses on power systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, and very large motors up to 30,000 HP, with 4.1kV to 138kV.

Salary is $90k-$115k per year, with overtime after 40 hours and a company truck provided. The position requires hands-on operation, independent work, and collaboration with technicians and operations teams.

Qualifications

Experience with medium voltage systems in industrial plants.
Extensive preventative and predictive maintenance experience on electrical systems.
In-operation role requiring hands-on work, not a desk job.
Chemical plant/oil/gas/refining experience preferred.
Able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain electrical distribution equipment including switchgear, transformers, substations, UPS, and drops.
Plan, schedule, and perform preventative and predictive maintenance and NDT.
Assist TAR planning and coordinate work with operations and engineering teams.
Work independently or with technicians to execute maintenance tasks on large motors (>30,000 HP).
Perform oil analysis and maintenance tasks on power systems.
