Job summary

Potomac Testing, a TechPro Power Group company, seeks an Electrical Engineer to join our Crown Point, IN area operations focused on power system analysis, electrical design, and client solutions across diverse industries.

You will perform short circuit and arc flash studies, prepare detailed reports, and develop CAD-based models while collaborating with project managers and field teams to deliver safe, efficient electrical systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Proficiency with electrical analysis tools like SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or Easy Power.
Strong Microsoft Office and AutoCAD skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to pass a drug test and background investigation.

Responsibilities

Perform Electrical Analysis: Conduct short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies using software such as SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or Easy Power.
Engineering Reports: Prepare comprehensive engineering reports and present findings to clients with actionable recommendations for upgrades, safety improvements, or efficiency enhancements.
System Design: Develop electrical models based on single-line diagrams or field notes and use CAD tools to generate drawings.
Project Support: Collaborate with project managers to address engineering challenges and provide solutions during project execution.
Field Work: Conduct occasional on-site evaluations under varying environmental conditions. Tasks may include equipment inspection, troubleshooting, or data gathering.
