Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA, is seeking a mid-level Power Systems Design Engineer for nuclear projects. Hybrid work, collaborate with internal teams and site personnel to design electrical systems, I&C packages, and wiring documents.

You will use ETAP, Mathcad, and Maximo to model systems, perform calculations, and prepare technical evaluations and procurement specs. Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of power-plant experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of professional experience.
• Knowledge of power plant systems and equipment.
• Experience on power projects.
• Background creating procurement specifications and reviewing vendor proposals.

Responsibilities

• Apply intermediate-level engineering knowledge to design and analyze electrical systems for nuclear products and projects.
• Develop electrical system designs, I&C design packages, and system wiring documents.
• Create engineering design documentation including technical evaluations, obsolete parts equivalencies, calculations, and specifications to support operating plants.
• Use ETAP, Mathcad, Maximo, or similar software to model systems, complete calculations, and manage work.
• Partner with internal engineering teams to gather inputs and align on solutions.
• Engage with client and site personnel to resolve issues critical to project success.
• Plan and manage your schedule to meet assignment milestones and deliverables.

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $69,200 to $86,500 per year.
