Job summary

Nexus Engineering Group seeks a Senior Power System Studies Engineer to own analytical studies that keep industrial power systems safe, reliable, and compliant. You will lead end-to-end studies and mentor junior engineers.

You’ll model with ETAP, EasyPower or SKM, deliver client-ready reports, and collaborate with clients and the discipline manager to uphold Nexus standards. Occasional travel is possible.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience performing power system studies for industrial clients.
• Advanced, hands-on proficiency in ETAP, EasyPower or SKM.
• Experience in load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, relay coordination, and motor-starting.
• Ability to own studies end-to-end and deliver client-ready results.

Responsibilities

• Lead power system studies end-to-end from scoping to client-ready reports.
• Build and validate models in ETAP, EasyPower, or SKM PowerTools.
• Perform full range of studies including load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, and coordination.
• Serve as technical contact for clients and mentor junior engineers.
• Review and QC studies and help maintain templates and standards.
• Travel 2–3 times per year to client facilities.
