Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) is seeking a Power System Operations Engineer I to join its Real Time Operations group. You will train to maintain the EMS and its inputs, monitor ICCP/SCADA feeds, and produce contingency analysis results to support reliable operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and the ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift. A base salary of $80,000–$90,000 USD with a 7.5% shift differential and potential annual bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience or ability to learn EMS/SCADA inputs and state estimator.
• Programming experience in C, C++, VBA, Perl, Python is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and maintain EMS inputs and State Estimator accuracy.
• Monitor data from ICCP/SCADA and perform contingency analysis.
• Collaborate with operators and stakeholders to ensure reliable operation.
