Job summary

Tacoma Power, a division of Tacoma Public Utilities, seeks a Power Strategy & Performance Manager to translate strategic priorities into measurable outcomes. You will partner with senior leadership, analyze business issues, and support implementation of strategic priorities across business units.

The role requires deep utility experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, business, information technology, or a directly related field.
• 5 years of progressively responsible analytical and/or functional analyst work, including 1 year in senior, lead, or supervisory role.
• Experience in electric utility industry and strategy/performance management is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support development, refresh, and execution of the power utility’s strategy and multi-year plan.
• Translate corporate strategy into objectives, initiatives, milestones, and performance measures.
• Manage Tacoma Power's Strategic Initiatives portfolio and support resource allocation aligned to senior leadership vision.
• Conduct market, regulatory, financial analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
• Serve as strategic advisor to senior leaders and facilitate planning workshops.
• Oversee KPI establishment, targets, dashboards, and executive reporting.
• Coordinate efficiency improvements and budget development for the Strategy and Performance Management group.
