Job summary

Mercor is seeking power systems engineers with recent hands-on industry experience to review and annotate complex electrical engineering tasks. You will assess realistic design and study scenarios and produce clear written technical findings.

The role involves reviewing substation design, transmission design, and generation interconnection tasks, checking calculations and standards compliance, and producing concise written findings. Immediate start with part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Recent hands-on experience as a power systems professional in substation design, transmission design, or generation interconnection.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience.
• Circuit design depth: protection, controls, switchgear, power distribution and related calculations.
• Experience at an EPC contractor, utility, transmission owner, power generation developer, ISO/RTO, or owner's engineering group.
• Your resume should clearly show relevant power systems experience.

Requirements

• Recent hands-on experience as a power systems professional in one or more of: substation design, transmission design, or generation interconnection. This is mandatory.

• Minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience

• Circuit design depth: protection and controls, switchgear, power distribution, and the associated calculations

• Experience at an EPC contractor, utility, transmission owner, power generation developer, ISO/RTO, or owner's engineering group

• Your resume should clearly show relevant power systems experience

• Approximately 10 to 20 hours per week initially
