Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Power Platform Engineer for a leading utility client. This engineer will design, build, and support scalable business solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and related Azure technologies.

The role partners with technical teams and business stakeholders to modernize processes, implement workflow automation, create dashboards and low-code applications, and support enterprise integrations across gas, water, and wastewater

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT or related field.
• 3+ years developing and supporting Power Platform solutions.
• Experience designing business-process automations and low-code apps.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Knowledge of Dataverse, SharePoint Lists, and enterprise data integration.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Understanding of app security, RBAC, data governance, and compliance in Microsoft 365/Power Platform.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Downtown Indianapolis, IN. Hybrid - onsite 2 days a week

Schedule:

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• 3+ years of experience developing and supporting solutions with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
• Experience designing business-process automations, workflows, forms, and low-code applications
• Ability to gather requirements, facilitate stakeholder conversations, and translate business needs into technical solutions
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint Lists, and enterprise data-integration patterns
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
• Understanding of application security, role-based access control, data governance, and compliance within Microsoft 365 and Power Platform environments
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and support several business units in a collaborative environment

Plusses:

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS, or Azure Cognitive Services
• Familiarity with MVC, MVP, MVA, React, or Angular
• Experience with APIs, SOA, and SFTP integrations

Day-to-Day:

• Design, build, and support business solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint Online
• Support the complete project lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through go-live and ongoing maintenance
• Store, retrieve, manipulate, and integrate data for applications and analytics
• Serve as a technical point of contact for data integrations and services, including Microsoft Azure and SharePoint Online
• Troubleshoot issues, apply patches, and assist internal and external users with issue resolution
• Develop, deploy, execute, and maintain business-process automations
• Create digital workflows, applications, dashboards, and collaborative experiences
• Partner with business consultants, product owners, operational teams, and corporate stakeholders
• Recommend secure, scalable technical designs that align with corporate architecture standards
• Manage several concurrent priorities and communicate project status, technical issues, and operational risks
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, tools, and development techniques
• Participate in emergency 24/7 on-call support when required
