Job summary

Prometheus Federal Services is seeking a hands-on Power Platform Developer with data engineering expertise to design and build Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Power BI solutions using VA/VHA data assets, including the Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW).

The role will own end-to-end solutions, including data modeling, ingestion and transformation logic, application and report development, and ALM governance, to ensure deliverables are maintainable, performant, and compliant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Analytics or related field.
• 4–6 years building Power Platform solutions with hands-on production experience across Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Demonstrated Power Apps development: Dataverse modeling, screen/form design, Power Fx logic, and data connections to Dataverse, SharePoint, and SQL-based sources.
• Demonstrated Power Automate development: cloud flows using connectors, expressions, and error handling for data movement, approvals, and process automation.
• Demonstrated Power BI development: data modeling, DAX, Power Query, refresh, and report/dashboard delivery.
• Hands-on data engineering experience: building ETL/ELT or data pipelines, data modeling, and working with structured and semi-structured data from multiple systems.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and proficiency in SQL for building, reviewing, and validating data structures and logic.
• Working knowledge of Power Platform data connectivity and data governance practices.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy Power Apps canvas and model-driven apps.
• Architect Dataverse as the application data backbone with security roles.
• Connect apps to Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL/Azure SQL, and CDW using standard and premium connectors.
• Build responsive, accessible screens and implement logic with Power Fx.
• Develop reusable components and governance for Power Platform apps.
• Design and govern ALM including Git/Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Build and maintain cloud flows to automate data movement, approvals, notifications, and processes across VA systems.
• Implement desktop flows to automate legacy systems where appropriate.
• Coordinate data ingestion and transformation steps within larger data pipelines.
• Design Power BI reports and semantic models on CDW data; configure RLS, gateways, and deployment pipelines.
• Build star-schema data models and robust DAX measures; optimize performance.
