Job summary

HDR is seeking a Power Platform Developer to support enterprise adoption of Microsoft Power Apps, focusing on modernizing legacy tools into secure, scalable, M365-native solutions.

Based in Charlotte, NC, this role collaborates with the national Power Apps team and project delivery groups to design, support, and continuously improve applications that enable project controls, reporting, and workflow automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in project construction management, engineering, or technology field.
• Introductory experience and aptitude in business data management, processes, analysis
• Working with Microsoft 365 applications such as SharePoint Online, Excel, power Automate, Forms, Teams or Power BI
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple long‑ and short‑term tasks
• Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) applications
• Build applications using Dataverse and SharePoint Online as core data sources
• Develop Power Automate flows to support application logic, approvals, and integrations
• Translate business requirements into structured application designs, including data models, forms, and workflows
• Integrate Power Apps solutions with external systems where needed
• Collaborate with project teams, PMO, and business stakeholders to understand needs
• Deploy, test, and improve applications used in active project environments
• Contribute to Power Platform standards and best practices across HDR
• Contribute to HDR’s long term Power Platform strategy by helping evolve scalable solutions
• Report and coordinate with Project Controls Technology Manager, Project Delivery Lead and Project Managers
• Perform other duties as needed
