Power Platform Architect Sr

Job Level: Architect

Job Location: Onsite Cincinnati

Job Classification: Temporary (W2T) Contractor (1099)

Join Centric Consulting – A Culture You’ll Love

At Centric Consulting, we've cultivated a unique approach to business. Our business is built on three fundamental principles: Enjoy the people you work with, have fun, and do great work. These principles define our consulting model and have crafted one of the most vibrant cultures in the consulting industry – celebrating individuals, collaboration, and lifelong friendships.

Centric is looking for a highly technical, hands‑on Architect who lives and breathes the Microsoft Power Platform. You will own the technical and functional design of Power Platform solutions from discovery through go‑live, and you'll be just as comfortable building apps, flows, and Dataverse solutions as you are guiding a delivery team and delegating work. You'll be a trusted advisor to client stakeholders and the go‑to Power Platform leader for our consultants, and you'll use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot every day to work smarter, deliver faster, and help clients adopt AI responsibly.

In this role, you will:
Solution Leadership & Design
  • Lead the end‑to‑end technical and functional design of Power Platform solutions, translating business requirements into scalable, supportable architectures that follow Microsoft best practices and modern design principles.
  • Facilitate discovery and design workshops with business and IT stakeholders; conduct fit‑gap analysis and recommend when to use low‑code configuration, pro‑code extensions, or adjacent Azure services.
  • Author and maintain key design artifacts, including solution architecture, functional and technical design documents, Dataverse data models, integration designs, and security models.
  • Define environment strategy, ALM, and governance approaches, including solution layering, managed/unmanaged solutions, CI/CD pipelines, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, and Center of Excellence (CoE) practices.
  • Advise clients on licensing, capacity, and tenant‑level governance so Power Platform scales responsibly across the enterprise.
Hands‑On Delivery
  • Design and build Dataverse solutions, including tables, relationships, columns, business rules, security roles, and environment settings.
  • Build model‑driven and canvas Power Apps, Power Automate cloud and desktop flows, Power Pages portals, Copilot Studio agents, and Power BI reporting.
  • Develop or guide pro‑code extensions such as Dataverse plug‑ins, JavaScript/TypeScript form scripting, PCF controls, custom connectors, custom APIs, and Azure Functions.
  • Design and implement integrations using the Dataverse Web API, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, virtual tables, dataflows, and third‑party middleware; lead data migration strategy and execution.
  • Optimize app performance, delegation, and flow design for scale, and establish patterns that keep solutions supportable after go‑live.
Team Leadership & Delegation
  • Serve as technical lead on delivery teams: break down work, assign and delegate tasks to developers and functional consultants, and ensure quality through design reviews, code reviews, and configuration standards.
  • Know when to stay hands‑on‑keyboard and when to delegate, balancing personal contribution with team enablement to keep projects on time and on budget.
  • Mentor and coach consultants, building Power Platform depth across the practice and contributing to reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Partner with Delivery Leads and Project Managers on estimates, sprint planning, risk identification, and status reporting.
Presales & Client Advisory
  • Support presales by understanding customer needs, designing solution and integration architecture, preparing estimates, and contributing to proposals, SOWs, and implementation plans.
  • Lead solution demos and proofs of concept that show the art of the possible with Power Platform, Dataverse, and Copilot.
  • Serve as the conduit between the client community and the implementation team, keeping business outcomes front and center.
AI‑Enabled Ways of Working
  • Use Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and Copilot in Power Platform) every day to accelerate requirements analysis, documentation, solution design, development, testing, and client communication.
  • Champion AI adoption with clients by identifying, designing, and implementing Copilot Studio agents, AI Builder models, and Copilot‑powered capabilities that deliver measurable business value.
  • Apply responsible AI practices, including data security, governance, and human review of AI‑generated output.
Who You Are:
  • 7+ years of deep, hands‑on Power Platform experience across Power Apps (model‑driven and canvas), Power Automate, Dataverse, Power Pages, and Power BI, with at least 3 years in a lead or architect role.
  • Proven track record leading both the technical and functional design and implementation of multiple full‑lifecycle Power Platform projects, including enterprise‑scale Dataverse solutions.
  • Strong pro‑code skills in C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, FetchXML, and the Dataverse SDK/Web API; experience building plug‑ins, PCF controls, and custom connectors.
  • Working knowledge of Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, API Management, Azure SQL, Azure AI services) and common integration patterns.
  • Experience with ALM and DevOps for Power Platform, including Azure DevOps or GitHub pipelines, Power Platform Build Tools, and Pipelines in Power Platform.
  • Experience establishing Power Platform governance: environment strategy, DLP policies, CoE Starter Kit, and licensing and capacity management.
  • Copilot Studio experience strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable working hands‑on‑keyboard while also leading, delegating to, and mentoring a delivery team.
  • A daily user of AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, with a curious, experimental mindset and enthusiasm for finding new ways AI can improve how we work and what we deliver.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑phase, multi‑resource projects across industries from inception to completion while maintaining high client satisfaction.
  • Skilled at diagnosing business processes, identifying issues and opportunities, and recommending practical solutions.
  • Consulting experience strongly preferred. Clients don't come to us when the problem is easy. You should enjoy taking on the hard stuff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to executive and non‑technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft certifications such as Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600), Power Platform Developer (PL-400), Power Platform Functional Consultant (PL-200), Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900), or Azure certifications.
  • Experience implementing Copilot Studio agents, AI Builder solutions, or Copilot in Power Apps for clients.
  • Working familiarity with Dynamics 365 CE so Power Platform solutions coexist cleanly with first‑party apps.
  • Experience with Power Platform Managed Environments, Power Automate Process Mining, or Microsoft Fabric integration.
  • Industry experience in areas such as healthcare, government, manufacturing, or professional services.

We proudly offer competitive compensation, a comprehensive and well‑rounded benefits package for full‑time employees that have been designed to nourish your well‑being, such as health coverage, wellness programs, 401K company match, self‑managed PTO, and other unique incentives that celebrate your accomplishments.
