Job summary

NAES Corporation in Ohio seeks a Water Treatment Operator to maintain water and steam chemistry for a modern two-block power facility. You will operate RO systems, filters, and other treatment equipment, perform chemistry analyses, and support OEM specifications to protect turbine components and HRSG parts.

The role requires a degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, the ability to work a 12-hour DuPont-style rotating schedule, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field preferred.
• Experience in water treatment operations or similar role in power generation preferred.
• Ability to analyze water chemistry and adjust dosing to maintain system integrity.
• Knowledge of water purification systems including RO, clarifiers, ion exchangers and filtration.
• Familiarity with boiler and steam systems and closed-loop control principles.
• Ability to read piping diagrams and process control documentation.
• Experience using CMMS or asset management tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the safe, reliable operation of all water treatment equipment.
• Perform routine water chemistry analyses and adjust dosing as needed.
• Monitor environmental effluents and optimize chemistry to improve efficiency.
• Support OEM specifications and industry best practices for high-efficiency operations.
• Operate RO systems, filters, clarifiers, thickeners, and related water treatment equipment.
• Sample and test water to ensure compliance with discharge permits.
• Provide training support for operations personnel on water treatment procedures.
