Role Summary: Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and ensure ongoing operation of a large-scale power generation facility, including generation equipment, power distribution/balancing systems, fueling, and related components. The environment requires strict adherence to precautionary work methods and safety equipment due to significant electrical hazards when working near energized equipment. Monitor plant output and related components to ensure safe operation and continuous power generation. Troubleshoot and repair or replace generators, control/distribution components, and fueling/support systems to restore and maintain continual operation. Conduct tests with electrical testing equipment to determine causes of malfunctions and perform repairs or upgrades as needed. Safely operate tools and equipment required to access work locations and complete repairs. Complete all documentation and communicate effectively with team members and other personnel. Other duties as assigned.

• Monitor generating equipment, control/distribution systems, plant output, and related components to ensure safe plant operation and effective power generation.
• Troubleshoot and repair or replace generators, control/distribution components, and fueling/support systems as necessary.
• Test equipment to determine causes of malfunctions using voltmeters, ammeters, and related electrical testing apparatus.
• Repair and replace equipment such as relays, switches, load balancing/control systems, and indicating/recording instruments.
• Safely operate all tools and equipment required to access work locations and complete repairs or upgrades.
• Complete documentation and communicate effectively with team members and other personnel as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Job Requirements

• High school diploma / GED or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six (6) to nine (9) years of related experience.

• Requires the knowledge, skill level, and physical ability to perform assigned job functions.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions to ensure safety and compliance.
