Job summary

Vistra is seeking a maintenance technician to sustain instrumentation, control, electrical, and mechanical systems on a two-unit GT24 CCGT plant. The role ensures safe, reliable, efficient operation and compliance with environmental standards.

Daily tasks include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of boiler and turbine controls. The position requires hands-on work with rotating equipment, motors, generators, and high-voltage systems, with overtime as needed to support

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; trade/technical training preferred.
4–6 years maintenance experience in power gen or similar facilities.
Knowledge of Safety and Environment rules related to electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and emergency maintenance on instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve plant instrumentation and control issues.
Inspect, repair, install and remove motors, transformers, breakers and related equipment up to 4160 V.
Tune and calibrate boiler and turbine controls for optimal performance.
Maintain and calibrate plant instrumentation to provide reliable data.
