Nushagak Cooperative is seeking a skilled Power Plant Technician to support the Power Plant Supervisor in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. This role serves as a lead for operators and mechanics, focusing on proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance.
The selected individuals' key responsibilities will include inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control systems; coordinating preventive maintenance and major equipment overhauls; ensuring compliance with safety codes and environmental regulations; and training operators on safe and effective procedures.
Minimum qualifications include: 18 years of age or older; mechanical aptitude; ability to lift 50 lbs.; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. As well as clear and respectful communication skills, a commitment to teamwork and professionalism, and a valid Alaska driver’s license.
This employee must have the ability to work independently. Rotating shift work to include weekends and holidays is required. Must be willing to work overtime. Salary range is $41.35 – $51.15 DOE.
