Job summary

Nushagak Cooperative seeks an Electric Operations Manager to oversee reliable and safe electric service for members. The role requires a engineering/electrical background, substantial management experience, and strong communication abilities.

The selected candidate will assist the CEO/GM with daily operations, budgeting, and ensuring efficient construction, operation, and maintenance of utility plant in compliance with standards. Position may involve acting CEO/GM in their absence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or high school diploma with substantial postgraduate training and applicable experience in electrical utility systems.
• At least ten years of work experience, with at least five in a supervisory role directly applicable to the responsibilities of this position.
• Good verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the CEO/GM in all aspects of providing reliable and safe electric service to Cooperative members.
• Oversee day-to-day administration of internal operations and service requirements.
• Monitor adherence to electric budgets and work plans; ensure proper construction, operation, maintenance of utility plant.

Job description

Nushagak Cooperative seeks applicants for the position of Electric Operations Manager. Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or a high school graduate with substantial postgraduate training and directly applicable experience in electrical utility systems, at least ten years of work experience, of which at least five years has been in a supervisory role directly applicable to the responsibilities of this position and this individual must have good communications skills, both verbal and written.

The selected candidate would assist the CEO/GM in all aspects of providing reliable, and safe electric service to Cooperative members. Responsibilities include: day-to-day administration of internal operations, being responsive to service requirements of all Nushagak Cooperative members by providing adequate and reliable electric, telephone and cable television services through efficient construction, operation, replacement, removal, and maintenance of utility plant in compliance with industry and regulatory standards, and monitors adherence to electric approved budgets and work plans. May serve as acting CEO/GM in absence of the CEO/GM.
