Job summary

NRG Energy's Deer Park Station in Texas seeks a Plant Specialist with extensive power plant experience to provide advanced technical support, safety compliance, and project management across the facility.

The role requires performing analyses, field inspections, equipment walkdowns, and coordinating with vendors and plant staff, while training operations and maintenance personnel and maintaining predictive maintenance data.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of technical training at an accredited institution or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years experience in power plant operations, maintenance, or related technical field, or 8 years with only HS.
• TWIC card or ability to obtain one prior to hire date.
• Strong knowledge of power plant systems and safety/environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis in area(s) of responsibility.
• Conduct field inspections, measurements, and equipment walkdowns.
• Provide technical and project management support for the facility.
• Ensure safety and environmental regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate activities with vendors/contractors and plant staff.
• Provide training to operations and maintenance employees.
• Maintain predictive maintenance databases and perform data analysis.
• Prepare written reports and track project progress.
