Job summary

Ormat Technologies, Inc. is seeking a staff engineer to support MM&CAPEX projects, scope plant initiatives, justify financials, and drive efficiency improvements at our Reno, NV facilities.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience with cooling systems, turbines, and controls, along with strong project management and teamwork skills. PE registration is preferred or achievable within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, chemical engineering or related field.
• 5 years in power plant maintenance or related experience preferred.
• PE registration preferred or obtainable within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement MM&CAPEX projects to maximize generation and profits.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and financial justification.
• Identify and fix equipment or process inefficiencies; propose cost-effective solutions.
