Job summary

Vistra Corp. is seeking a Regional Outage Manager to provide outage management support for major projects at its Power Plants. This role involves managing services provided by plant personnel and contractors, ensuring execution of project activities meet desired objectives in cost, schedule, and safety.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and significant experience in fossil power plant operations. This position requires extensive travel and the ability to manage multiple large projects concurrently.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in managing unit outages for fossil power production equipment.
• 10+ years experience in maintenance and repair of fossil power production equipment.
• Knowledge of steam turbine, combustion turbine, and boiler components disassembly/reassembly techniques.
• Experience interfacing with contract craft personnel and equipment manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Outage Manager for all scheduled and forced outages at assigned plants.
• Ensure project/outage activities meet cost, schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
• Provide supplementary construction management support when available.
