Job Description:
We are seeking a Power Plant Operator for the Indeck Corinth Energy Center. Experience with combined cycle power plants is preferred but not mandatory. The role involves working with boilers, high-pressure steam, gas, and steam turbines. Mechanical, welding, and electrical skills are advantageous. Our goal is to provide reliable, environmentally friendly power. Since 1985, Indeck Energy has developed, financed, constructed, owned, and operated numerous power plants across the U.S. and internationally. We maintain a strong portfolio of operational facilities and have established long-term partnerships with Fortune 100 companies and major financial institutions.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Power plant experience is a plus.
  • Must wear respirators and safety equipment as required.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Duties:
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
  • Assist in repairing all equipment.
  • Monitor and control treated water systems.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Regularly inspect operations for issues, troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintain logs, records, and reports related to maintenance and operations.
Physical Environment:
  • Stand, walk, climb ladders and scaffolding, and work at heights.
  • Handle high-pressure, hot steam, water lines, chemicals, and related equipment.
  • Work in confined, awkward, or outdoor environments in various weather conditions.
  • Exposure to noise and hot environments; may work in confined spaces.
  • Work rotates on a swing shift, with possible schedule changes.
  • Overtime availability is required.
  • Constant vigilance and awareness are necessary.
Nature of Work:
  • Full-time, regular employment.
  • Work days and shifts vary, including rotating shifts.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually, based on experience.
  • Educational requirement: High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Driver's license: Class D/Regular.
