Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations in New Hampshire is seeking a Utility Operator to support boiler and plant systems under supervision. You will monitor operations, read gauges, perform sampling, and help maintain equipment safety and reliability across the power plant.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to work overtime and rotating shifts, and a commitment to a safe, productive work environment. Training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Three or more months of related experience or training.
• Mechanical skills to replace shear pins, repack valves, and inspect equipment.
• Knowledge to operate plant auxiliary equipment such as air compressors, dryers, and pumps.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of assigned boiler and plant equipment per procedures.
• Monitor and inspect auxiliary equipment (pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, electrical devices).
• Read meters and gauges to identify malfunctions or abnormal conditions and report them.
• Perform sampling and ash sampling and water treatment as assigned.
• Monitor air pollution control equipment and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Operate mobile equipment (Bobcat, forklift) when required.
• Assist with refuse handling and fire watch duties as needed.
• Work overtime during planned or unplanned maintenance and maintain positive relations with stakeholders.
