Job summary

We Energies is seeking a Supervisor at our Power Generation facilities in Oak Creek, WI, with duties spanning operation, maintenance, and safety of plant equipment. The role supervises staff, directs daily work, and ensures productive, compliant performance in a unionized environment.

The position emphasizes safety leadership, coaching, and coordination with senior staff to optimize reliability and efficiency at the Oak Creek site and neighboring plants in the region.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, HSED, or GED.
• Five to 10 years’ experience in power plant operations and/or supervision or similar industry; good working knowledge of labor agreements.

Responsibilities

• Drive productivity and safety by supervising plant employees.
• Plan and conduct safety meetings and team meetings.
• Manage work assignments to minimize overtime while maintaining productivity.
• Coach and counsel employees; discuss disciplinary issues with others as needed.
• Evaluate performance and conduct annual reviews; work with union stewards on issues.
• Lead safety and team meetings; promote safe work practices.
• Support diversity and inclusive work environment.
• Track and prioritize assigned work; monitor progress.
• Train staff in job skills with Senior Supervisors.
• Apply company policies and environmental policy to operations.
