Job summary

Software Placement Group, SPG seeks a Director of Operations to lead the safe, reliable, and profitable operation of multiple power generation facilities. You will oversee operations, maintenance, engineering, and staff management while driving compliance, continuous improvement, and strategic growth across the fleet.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 10+ years in power generation, and strong leadership. An MBA and gas turbine experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in power generation operations/maintenance, including significant experience with gas turbine facilities.
• MBA or strong business/commercial experience (preferred).
• Proven leadership and regulatory/compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement in plant safety, reliability, efficiency, and profitability.
• Lead, develop, and manage plant staff to align with standards.
• Oversee daily facility operations to meet production and performance targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety/environmental/regulatory requirements and reporting obligations.
• Manage hiring, performance, and compensation in line with policy/laws.
• Develop, manage, and control facility budgets and expenditures.
• Plan and oversee plant outages to optimize production and costs.
• Provide hands-on operational/technical support and coordinate external resources.
• Lead risk assessments and inform decisions with market knowledge.
• Direct system upgrades and asset improvement projects.
• Lead transitions related to acquisitions, divestitures, or changes in O&M.
• Engage with regulators and community stakeholders.
• Maintain reliable attendance and complete special projects.
