Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking applicants for Laborer positions at the Surry Power Station in Surry, VA. The individual selected will perform housekeeping and maintenance duties inside and outside the power station in all types of weather conditions.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. A pre-employment drug screen and background checks are required; nuclear clearance access may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Nuclear experience a plus.
• Experience in a craft (mechanical, electrical, I&C) preferred.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment (Bobcats, forklifts) a plus.
• CDL Class B license a plus.
• Ability to assist all departments daily in areas of physical labor duties.
• Will strive to keep the power station neat and orderly.
• Pre-employment drug screen, DMV/criminal history background check, and eligibility for nuclear clearance.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping and maintenance duties inside and outside the power station.
• Scrubbing/waxing floors and cleaning in various plant areas.
• Assist with outdoor duties such as lawn maintenance and snow removal.
• Support station operations and wear respirator in confined spaces when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
