Job summary

Direct Energy Business is seeking a technician in Richmond, TX to provide maintenance support for boiler and turbine instrumentation. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain equipment while ensuring safety and quality compliance.

The ideal candidate needs an associates degree or equivalent experience, along with relevant industrial background in electronics repair. This position may require performing duties during the absence of a Master I&C technician.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in instrumentation or related field is required.
• Completion of an Instrumentation and Controls Apprentice Training Program.
• Three years industrial experience in electronics repair and calibration.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support to troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain all instrumentation.
• Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain protective relays and control systems.
• Complete all written and electronic records required to document work.

Skills

Good mechanical aptitude

Ability to communicate orally and in written reports

Knowledge of electricity, voltage, and current relationships

Ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, electronic and digital controllers

Education

Associates Degree or equivalent education in instrumentation, pneumatics, engineering, or a related technical discipline
