Job summary

NAES is seeking a Control Room Operator at the Niles Energy Center in Michigan. The CRO will operate and monitor GE 7HA.02 turbines and balance‑of‑plant systems from the control room and the field, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation. You will troubleshoot equipment, log operating data, support maintenance, and participate in safety, environmental, and compliance programs.

A high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred. A valid U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; associate degree preferred.
• Extensive experience operating combined-cycle power plants.
• Strong knowledge of turbines, HRSGs, and balance‑of‑plant equipment.
• Understand DCS operation, LOTO, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Start up, operate, monitor, and shut down turbines, HRSGs, and the steam turbine from the control room and field.
• Monitor plant performance, adjust parameters for efficiency and emissions compliance.
• Respond to alarms, troubleshoot, and take corrective actions.
• Maintain logs, support preventive and corrective maintenance, and assist with training.
